Bates, Bonny Mae Lynn, 49, of Truro, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010
in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Halifax, Bonny is a
daughter of Gerald Cartwright and the late Effie Annabelle (King)
Cartwright. In her past years Bonny was a foster mother. She loved to
bake and was a very devoted wife to Karl for 21 years. She enjoyed
listening to the birds singing in the early mornings and had a great
love for animals.
She is survived by her husband Karl; sisters, Sandra Bohnert (Greg) Calgary AB., Laura Ash (Stephen) Stewiacke; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Fern Bates; numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
Besides her mother, Bonny was predeceased by, her younger brother Gerald Cartwright and her older brother Roland Marr.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No visitation by family request. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 6th at 10:00 am, in Knox United Church, Brookfield with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to Knox United Church, Brookfield.
