Catherine "Kaye" Davidson

DAVIDSON (MacLean), Catherine "Kaye" — Salmon River, Colchester Co., passed away Monday, March 8, 2010, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, after a brief illness. Born August 3, 1929, in Springville, she was a daughter of the late D. R. "Bert" and Mary (Thompson) MacLean. Following her graduation from Teacher's College in Truro, she taught at Maple Leaf School, Truro Junior High School, and Salmon River Central School. She was an energetic and dedicated volunteer worker and was proud to be involved in the Women's Institute of Nova Scotia, and the IODE Colchester Chapter, among other organizations. She is survived by her brother, Bob (Judy) MacLean; sons, Glenn (Petra) Davidson, Bruce (Janice) Davidson, Scott (Susan) Davidson; daughter, Nancy (Eric) Lerhe and cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Cody, Aaron, Brittany, and Eleanor. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor, and her sister, Helen. Funeral arrangements are entrusted under the care of Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home in Truro. Visitation will be held 7-9pm Wednesday March 10, and 7-9pm Thursday March 11, and funeral service 2pm Friday March 12, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, Dr. Brian Ross officiating, with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Private family interment to be held at a later date in the Watson Cemetery, Truro. In lieu of flowers donations to Watson Cemetery in Truro, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
