Christie: Carolyn Mae (Snook) 57 Dartmouth, NS. It is with great
sadness we announce Carolyn’s passing. Carolyn’s year long
battle with renal failure has finally came to an ended at the VG
Hospital on March 8, 2010. She went with courage and strength. Carolyn
was surrounded by her family and friends. Carolyn will always be loved
and greatly missed by all who knew her. She was the daughter of the
late Alvin and Gladys Snook (Bible Hill N.S).
She is survived by her soul mate and husband of 39 years Donald Christie, daughters: Shelly (Jacques) Christie, Angie (Rob) Thomas, grandchildren: Santasia, James, Drake, Alexis. Brothers and Sisters: John Snook, Bruce (Nancy) Snook, Gail (Jeff) Roode, Paul (Michelle) Snook, Brenda (Blake) Chamberlain, Nancy (Eric) Snook. Tony Hamilton. Sister-In Laws: Debbie Christie, Robbie Christie, Sandy (Dan) Bourque, and Wendy Snook. Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and children she considered her own.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A celebration of Christie’s life will be held at the East Dartmouth Christian Food Bank of White Heritage Church on 54 Woodland Road, Dartmouth, on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 1:00 pm. with Rev. Curtis McDonald officiating. Donations can be made to the VG Nephrology Ward (6B), VG Palliative care, or to the Dartmouth Food Bank.
