Jeanette Joan MacAloney, 72, Bible Hill, passed away Tuesday, January
24, 2012, in The Mira Long Term Care Centre, Truro. Born in Liverpool,
she was a daughter of the late Lurain and Lottie B. (Levy) Levy.
Jeanette formerly worked for Stanfield’s Ltd, Truro for thirteen
years. She was also a part time crossing guard in Bible Hill.
She is survived by her husband Layton MacAloney; son, Jeffrey Levy
(Sandi) of Okotoks, Alberta; daughter, Angela MacAloney (Rob) of
Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Ashlee, Tayler; sisters, Charlotte White
(Jack) of Liverpool, Lucille Trites (Jim) of Wolfville, Susan
Jollimore (Lawrence) of Prince George, BC; brother, Albert Levy of
Prince George, BC; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Raymond
Levy.
Visitation will take place on Friday, Jan. 27th from 7-9pm and where
funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11 am, all in the
Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. Donna
Lawrence will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral
home. Burial will take place at a later date in Bible Hill Cemetery,
Bible Hill. No flowers by family request. Donations in
Jeanette’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
