Paris, Charles Leonard “Lennie”, 84, Truro, passed away
Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
Born in Boston, Mass., USA, he was a son of Jeanette (Borden) Brown
and the late Charles Leonard Paris Sr. Lennie was a veteran of the
Second World War. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy and also the
American Navy. He was a dedicated employee having worked for General
Dynamics in Quincy, Mass.
Besides his mother Jeanette, he is survived by daughters, Charlotte
Dixon, Jeanette Paris, Cynthia Monteiro, all of Mass, USA;
grandchildren, Dionne, Shawn, Letitia, Chad, Tiffany;
great-grandchildren, Dominique, Jodi, Daija, Lauryn, Kobe, Pride Jr;
great-great-grandson Latrell “LJ”; several nieces and
nephews; a host of family and friends.
He was predeceased by a daughter Deborah; grandson Jody; sisters
Patricia and June.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 8th from 1 pm until
1:45pm, followed by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro Legion
Tribute Service at 1; 45 pm, immediately followed by funeral service
at 2 pm, all in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street,
Truro. Pastor Brian O. Johnston will officiate with burial to follow
at a later date in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Donations in
Lennie’s memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 26,
