Nichols, Lillian Leona, 85, Truro. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Lillian Leona Nichols, originally from Belmont, Col. Co., on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Mira Long Term Care Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Perley and Lucy (Cox) Roblee. Lillian was a member of the Belmont United Baptist Church, Belmont, where she had taught a junior Sunday School class and worked with Daily Vacation Bible School. She had many good friends at church over the years, which she greatly appreciated.

Lillian is survived by her sons, Fred (Maureen) Nichols of Burlington, ON, Dwight (Sharon) Nichols of Upper Brookside, Jerry Nichols of Belmont; Judi Nichols of Bible Hill; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Lillian was predeceased by a son Raymond Nichols; brother Orland Roblee; sisters Clara (Beaver) Staples, Dorothy Teed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where visitation will take place on Friday, September 18th from 1 pm prior to funeral service at 2 pm. Reverend Henry Boehm will officiate with burial to follow in the Belmont Cemetery, Belmont. Family flowers only. Donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to the Belmont United Baptist Church, the Belmont Cemetery, or to a charity of choice. The family would like to give their sincere thanks to Dr. Tanya Munroe and Dr. Bruce Phillips, the caregivers and the staff at the Mira, for their years of care. A special thanks, to her friend Joy who has always been so helpful.
