Brenton, Kent Munroe - 83, of North River passed away October 5, 2015 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Born in Middle Stewiacke, he was a son of the late Clarence and Frances (Mackenzie) Brenton.

Kent was an automotive mechanic for all his life and owned and managed B&M Tune-Up Service. He was an avid golfer and past member of the Truro Golf Club for many years as well as a past member of the Truro Curling Club.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Susan Iris (Dunn) Brenton; sons, Jay (Becky); Paul (Janelle); granddaughters, Erica and Laura; brother, Colin (Hazel); sisters-in-law, Frances Archibald; Kay (Jack) Frizzell; brother-in-law, Ralph Maxwell; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by sisters, Marion Weatherbee; Shirley Maxwell; sister-in-law, Vera (Wilf) Taylor; brothers-in-law, Charles Archibald; Ken Weatherbee.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro where a Celebration of Kent’s Life will take place 6-8 pm Thursday, October 8, 2015. If so desired, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit.
