William Arthur "Art"
Adams – 87, Upper
Brookside, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on
Tuesday evening, October 27, 2015, at Colchester East Hants Health
Centre, Truro. Born April 22, 1928, in Hilden, he was a son of the
late William and Lydia (Wright) Adams.
Art was a member of Church of the Nazarene and worked at
Stanfield’s as a receiver for 38 years. He enjoyed boating
on Shortts Lake, travel trailer and Marshville cottage days and
looking after his property, of which he was very
particular.
Art is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ruby
(Campbell); son, Wayne (Judy) Adams, Salmon River; grandchildren,
Nathan (Jennifer) Adams, Moncton, New Brunswick; Jonathan (Stacie)
Adams, Hamilton, Ontario; Luke (Megan) Adams, Truro; Joel (April)
Sanson-Adams, Sydney; great grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Olivia,
Olive, Cole, Jensen, Whittaker; brother, James Adams, Tatamagouche.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Mervin,
Phillip.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Art’s
family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m., Friday, October 30,
2015, and funeral service 2 p.m., Saturday, October 31, 2015, Reverend
Wayne Keddy officiating. Reception will follow. Interment in
Crossroads Cemetery, 110 Salmon River Road, Valley. If so desired,
donation in Art’s memory to Church of the Nazarene are
