Rexford Kingsley "Rex"
Organ – 93, Truro, passed away
peacefully, with his loving wife at his side, on Monday afternoon,
November 23, 2015, at Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in Montreal,
Quebec, he was the son of the late Kingsley and Enid Organ.
Rex
served overseas in the Essex Scottish Regiment and was wounded in both
legs by shrapnel. He enjoyed life and was a founding member of Truro
Model Railway Club, enjoyed building meccano, playing bridge and stamp
collecting.
Rex
is survived by the love of his life for 69 years, Pearl Audrey
"Dixie" (Dickson) Organ; grandchildren, Matthew Douglas
Seaman and Devon Kyla Skretting, Alberta; six great grandchildren;
sister, June (John) Rosevear, Knowlton, Quebec; two nieces; one
nephew. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his
daughters, Carol Joyce Seaman and Diana Grace Organ. Special thanks
are extended to the staff at Wynn Park Villa for the wonderful care
they gave to Rex.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall
– Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where
Rex’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday,
November 27, 2015, and funeral service 2 p.m., Saturday, November 28,
2015, The Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating. Reception will follow.
Spring interment in Onslow Island Cemetery, Central Onslow. Family
flowers only. If so desired, donations in Rex’s memory to
St. John’s Anglican Church (Building Fund) or a charity of
