David James
Scott – 28, Debert,
passed away Monday, January 11, 2016, at his home in Grande Prairie,
Alberta, where he has resided since 2013. Born in Truro, he was a son
of Kevin and Sylvia (Seaman) Scott, Debert.
David attended Debert Elementary School, Onslow Junior High
and graduated from Cobequid Educational Centre in 2006. He worked in
the transportation and oil industry. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed
hiking, fishing, recreational shooting and all that nature had to
offer. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, was a wonderful artist who
loved to draw, paint and sketch and enjoyed traveling, having been to
Costa Rica and various places in Europe. He enjoyed spending time with
his countless friends.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his brother, John
(Lori) Scott, Valley. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents,
Jack and Lucy (Gamble) Seaman; paternal grandparents, Shep and Helen
(Gamble) Scott.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where David’s
family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016.
There will not be a funeral service; visitation only. If so desired,
donations in David’s memory to a charity of choice are
