passing of a beloved husband, father, brother and poppy, Charles
Eugene "Gene" Childs on Thursday, February 18, 2016, in

late William and Hazel (Darrigan) Childs.
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (MacPherson);
son, Jason (Suzanne); daughter, April; granddaughter, Mallory; sister,
Frances (Paul); brother, Douglas (Melissa); many nieces, nephews,
cousins and in-laws. He will be forever remembered as an avid musician
who played the accordion, fiddle, guitar, mandolin and
more.
Gene left home at the age of 19 to join the RCMP until he
retired in 1999. Since his retirement he has loved sailing his boat,
"The Mallory Dawn", traveling to Cuba, gardening and
reading. He enjoyed spending time with his coffee buddies and bringing
treats for their dogs. He lived life to the fullest, from
