McNeill, Evelyn Jean, 76, of Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Born in Lower Truro, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Miriam (Langille) Varner. Evelyn’s main interest in life was her love for her family. She is survived by son, Gerald (Tracy) McNutt, Vancouver, BC; daughters, Debbie (Ray) Nelson, Trail, BC, Wanda (Terry) Rolfe, Vineland, ON; grandchildren, Jeanette, April, Kenny, Tammy, Laurie, Steve, Chrissy, Jeff, Bryan; great-grandchildren, Stacey, Coby, William, Brandon, Elizabeth, Destiny, Ezri, Sawyer, Ashton, Mason, Ray-Lynn, Jaxen, Aaliya; brother, Edward Varner, Bible Hill; sisters, Juanita McCabe, Truro, Jeanette Webb, Bible Hill, Marie Bryan, Truro, Barb Atkinson, Halifax. She was predeceased by her partner, Don Quiring; sisters, June Taylor, Edna Forbes. Visitation will be held 6 ~ 8 pm Thursday, July 14, in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private family graveside service and interment, to be held at a later date in the Bible Hill Cemetery, Bible Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
