Scott Douglas "Styx"
Kennedy – 47, Truro,
formerly of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his
loving family, on Friday, September 16, 2016, at Colchester East Hants
Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Douglas
"Doug" and Faye (Cross) Kennedy, Truro.
Scott worked as a nurse’s assistant for Bayshore
Health Services at various hospitals. He loved drumming with
"Victor’s Van", exploring Victoria Park, reading
and harness racing.
Along with his parents, Scott is survived by his sister,
Patti Kennedy (Larry Hiles), Truro; wife, Sheila (Penny) Kennedy,
Dartmouth; paternal grandfather, Fred Cross, Bible Hill; several
aunts, uncles and cousins.
Special thanks are extended to Palliative Care Unit at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre and VON for their exceptional
care.
All are welcome to attend a columbarium interment service
that will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Terrace
Hill Cemetery, across from 142 Kaulback Street, Truro, The Reverend
Lori Ramsey officiating. Reception will follow at 2:30 p.m., at St.
John’s Anglican Church (Kaulbach Hall), 23 Church Street,
Truro. If so desired, donations in Scott’s memory to SPCA
are welcomed.
