Shirley Emma
Totten – 80,
Fredericton, New Brunswick, occurred peacefully at McNair Manor,
Riverview, New Brunswick, on Friday, October 7, 2016. Born in Belmont,
Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Perley and Ruby Pearl
Totten.
In her early years,
Shirley was in the Air Force as a photographer and then worked for
Imperial Tobacco in Montreal, Quebec. She later moved to Fredericton,
New Brunswick, and worked for the Province of New Brunswick until her
retirement. She enjoyed photography, reading, listening to music and
working in her garden.
She is survived by
her sister, Leora Turner, Hilden, Nova Scotia; many nieces and
nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her
brother, Orrie; sisters, Eva Mae (Arthur) Haynes, Ethel Gillis;
brother-in-law, Stan Turner.
All are welcome to
attend a graveside interment service that will be held 2 p.m., Sunday,
October 16, 2016, at Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, Reverend Mary J. White
officiating. If so desired, donations in Shirley’s memory to
Muscular Dystrophy or charity of choice are welcomed.
