Arden Eugene McLean – 79, Truro, passed
away peacefully on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at Colchester East Hants
Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Martin
and Freda (Totten) McLean.
Arden worked at Andy’s Tire as a general labourer
and then went on to work at Wilson’s Fuel as a fuel truck
driver until his retirement in 2001. Many will remember Arden for his
huge heart and generous spirit; he was always willing to help in
whatever way he could and would never say no. He loved spending time
with his grandchildren and enjoyed bowling, wood working and
cars.
Arden is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Vivian
(Wynn); sons, Darren (Kim) McLean, Old Barns; Dwayne (Dawn) McLean,
Upper Brookside; Steven McLean (Christina Henley), Hilden;
grandchildren, Natasha (Tony) Collins, Naomi (Ben) Meekins, Adam
Johnson, Amanda McLean, Colby McLean, Branden McLean; four great
grandchildren; sister, Joan Munroe, Thorburn; brother, Carl (Shirley)
MacLean, Truro; many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he
was predeceased by his brother, Murray. Special thanks are extended to
the staff at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro, and South Cumberland
Community Care Centre, Parrsboro, for your wonderful
care.
All are welcome to attend a graveside interment service that
will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Bible Hill
Cemetery, Warren Drive, Bible Hill, Reverend Ian Harrison officiating.
If so desired, donations in Arden’s memory to IWK Health
Centre Foundation are welcomed.
