Richard Allen McLean – 74, Bible Hill, passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, December 27, 2016, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Wilfred "Tom" McLean and Dorothy Jean (Taylor) (McLean) Moltzen.

Richard worked for Farmers Dairy for many years until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and going for numerous daily walks.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sharon (Fowler); daughter, Kelly Watson (Mike Totten), Debert; grandsons, Mark (Shelbie) Watson, Antigonish; Matthew (Katy) Watson, Sexsmith, Alberta; sisters, Ardith McLean-Chaisson (David), Bible Hill; Donna Phillips (Robert "Bob"), California; many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Todd in infancy; son-in-law, Todd Watson; step father, Harry Moltzen.

Private interment service will be held at a later date in Bible Hill Cemetery, Warren Drive, Bible Hill. If so desired, donations in Richard’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
