JOHNSTON, Constance A. (Connie) of Truro, N.S. died on
January 1, 2017 at 84 years of age. She is predeceased by her parents,
Emma a nd Donnie Ferguson, and her husband, Byron. She was a
nurse by profession, but devoted the majority of her life to her
family. Equal parts prankster and pragmatist, Connie was loved by
those who knew her for her lightning quick-wit, her wicked sense of
humour, and her fiercely independent approach to life.
She was an avid gardener, baker, traveler, and voracious
reader. Her humour, delicious recipes, and passion for life live on in
her family: Stephen (Beth), Linda, Donald (Sheila), Bruce
(Amy) and grandchildren Christopher, Leah, Scott
(Sara), Daniel (fiancée Chelsea)", Emma,
Katherine, Sam, and Lauren. A Cape Bretoner at heart, Connie
will be brought home to Sydney Mines for a graveside burial with
family and friends in the spring. The family wishes to extend a
heartfelt thank-you to her caregivers Shelley, Corrina, and Gloria,
and the staff at Vimy Court for their exceptional care. Donations can
be made to the SPCA or World Vision in her memory. "Tha an seann
nighean bheag seo a' dol dhachaidh!"
Arrangements have been entrusted to
