Minnie Isabel
Forsythe – Truro,
passed away peacefully, surround by her family at Wynn Park Villa on
Wednesday evening, January 25, 2017, in her
102nd year. Born in Wallace Station, she was a
daughter of the late Fulton and Maude (Coulter)
Gullens.
Isabel was the beloved wife of Thomas Goodwill Forsythe
(2003) and is survived by her loving children, Carolyn (Stanley) Hatt
and David (Beverley) Forsythe. She was the loving grandmother to
grandsons, Chris Forsythe (Lois), Mark Forsythe (Patti), Shawn Hatt
(Larissa), Troy Hatt (Karen) and granddaughter, Tracy Thomas (Ian).
She was great-grandmother to Bret and Jack Forsythe, Isabel and Amelia
Forsythe, Michael and Cassandra Hatt and Cameron and Tyler Thomas. She
was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Along with her
parents, she was the last remaining member of seven brothers and six
sisters.
Isabel was a long-time active member of Brunswick Street
United Church. Special thanks to all the wonderful care givers and
staff at Wynn Park Villa for the many happy years she resided
there.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Isabel’s
family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2017.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2017, at
Brunswick Street United Church, 250 Brunswick Street, Truro, Reverend
John Parsons officiating. Reception will follow in the Dining Hall.
Spring interment in Bayhead Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in
Isabel’s memory to a charity of choice are welcomed. Private
