Lorraine Helen Law – 89, Brookfield,
passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, February 28, 2017, at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Hilden, she was a
daughter of the late Percy and Mabel (West) MacNutt.
In earlier years, Lorraine enjoyed bowling and snowmobiling.
Her true passion in life was caring for her family and raising her
grandkids and great grandkids.
Lorraine is survived by her sons, David (Marjorie) Law, Upper
Stewiacke; Walter Law, Brookfield; Arthur (Marie) Law, Truro;
grandchildren, Jamie (Shaun) Crowe, Vincent (Wendi) Crowe, Upper
Stewiacke; Jill Law, Edmonton, Alberta; Randy (Kelly) Frame, Elmsdale;
Elizabeth Law, Elkford, British Columbia; Phillip Law, Onslow
Mountain; eight great grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Ann (George)
Terry, Hilden; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she
was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Warren Law; sister, Norma
(Fred) Sutherland; brother, Alroy (Lorraine) MacNutt.
Special thanks are extended to the staff at Colchester East
Hants Health Centre, Cedarstone Enhanced Care, home care personnel,
Blair’s Nursing Home and all the special people who visited
on a regular basis.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where
Lorraine’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.,
Friday, March 3, 2017. No funeral service. Spring interment will be
held in Brookfield Eastside Cemetery. Family flowers only. If so
desired, donations in Lorraine’s memory to a charity of
