Paul Arthur Carver – 72, Truro, passed
away peacefully on Saturday morning, March 4, 2017, at home. Born in
Halifax, he was a son of the late Reuben and Adaline (MacKenzie)
Carver.
Paul began his career with Canadian Armed Forces (Transport,
Heavy Equipment, Safety) and then went on to work as an instructor at
Commercial Safety College. After this, he worked for Department of
Transportation in the scale house and then with Department of Labour
as a Safety Inspector until his retirement in 2007. Paul will be
remembered for his infectious personality and humour and for the way
in which he could tell a story, although, you were never quite able to
tell fact from fiction! He absolutely loved golfing, summer camping at
Sunset Watch Campground, traveling, following his grandsons playing
hockey and attending Truro Jr. ‘A’ Bearcats hockey
games.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeannette
(Bailey); children, Michael (Evelyn) Carver, Fredericton, New
Brunswick; Jeannine Carver, Darnley, Prince Edward Island; Ronald
(Maria) Carver, Edmonton, Alberta; Paula (Jason) Philipson,

and Stefan LaPierre and Quintin, Tristan, Hayden and Jaida Philipson;
