John Nelson "Jack"
Sheepwash – 72, Truro,
lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Windsor Elms,
Windsor. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late John and Verlie
(Leadbetter) Sheepwash.
Jack worked with CN Rail (Track Maintenance) for over 25
years, loved hunting and a cold Keith’s.
Jack is survived by his children, Leo (Lisa) Sheepwash, Bass
River; Christena Smith, Truro; Tony Sheepwash, John MacKenzie, both of
Toronto; grandchildren, Michael Sheepwash, Samantha Sheepwash, Tyler
Sheepwash, Victoria Sheepwash, Matthew Smith, Benjamin Smith, Rachel
Smith, Destiny Dodge; great grandson, Jaxson; sister, Virginia (Kevin)
Kelly, Springhill; best friends, Russell McNally and Winston Williams;
several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with
his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Rushton
(Dosithé Gould), Doris (Lewis) Reeleder; brother, Leo
(Marjorie) Sheepwash.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Jack’s
family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Private interment at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill. If
so desired, donations in Jack’s memory to Cobequid Special
