Margie Jeanne (Murphy) Nichols - 65, Truro. It is with heavy hearts we announce Margie’s passing on Sunday, July 9, 2017. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of Lillian (Hinchcliffe) Murphy, Debert, and the late John Murphy.

Margie worked for 27 years as a receptionist at Pleasant Street Dental Centre until her retirement in 2016. She always had time for a quick chat with the patients and sometimes a fishing story for those who enjoyed fishing as much as she did. We all thought the world of her.

Along with her mother, Margie is survived by her sons, Jamie Nichols (Angie), North River; Scott Nichols (Wanda), Dartmouth; loving companion, Gary Annand;  brothers, Peter Murphy (Shelley), Mike Murphy (Janet), British Columbia; Paul Murphy (Wendy), Debert; sisters, Linda Eagles (Kelly), Debert; Nancy Morphet (Dwayne), Ontario; Jessie Cornelius (Ken), Brentwood; Sandra Murphy (Drew), USA; grandchildren, Jarad, Brody, Rayleigh, Mackenzie; faithful friend, Al Hill. Along with her father, she was predeceased by husband, Raymond Nichols.

Honouring Margie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. If so desired, donations in Margie’s memory to a charity of choice or local mental health centre are welcomed.
