Pamela Jean "Pam"
Brown – 52, Upper
Onslow, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Colchester East Hants
Health Centre, Truro, following a lengthy illness. Born in Truro, she
was a daughter of Margaret Viola (Wright) Rushton, Upper Onslow, and
the late Stanley Roy Rushton.
Pam worked as a dispatcher for Layton’s Taxi and
then went on to form Truro Taxi with her husband, Norman. She
absolutely loved to travel and her favourite places were South
Carolina and Prince Edward Island and she was known for her delicious
carrot cakes. An avid animal lover, she will be deeply missed by her
feline companion, Percy.
Along with her mother, Pam is survived by her husband,
Norman; step-children, Keith Brown, Tracy Brown (Paul Chatfield), Reta
(Greg) Cream, all of Truro; step grandchildren, Christian and Dillan
Brown and Brayden and Keenan Cream; brother, Dale (Freda) Rushton,
Truro; sisters, Marilyn Rushton, Halifax; Wade (Kelly) Rushton, Truro
Heights; David (Sue) Rushton, Bridgewater; several nieces and nephews.
Along with her father, she was predeceased by her sister,
Debbie.
Honouring Pam’s wishes, a private family interment
will be held in Onslow Island Cemetery. If so desired, donations in
her memory to Colchester SPCA are welcomed. Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young
