Matheson, Gwendolyn Lelia (MacKenzie), "Gwen". 93, Greenfield, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law and sister, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro with her family by her side. Born October 17, 1924 in Onslow, she was a daughter of the late Beryl and Grace (Mooring) Cox. The most important things in Gwen’s life was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.  Gwen loved music and enjoyed singing and playing her guitar and the piano. She enjoyed family gatherings, camping and going for drives in the country. Her favorite thing was going for coffee with her sons. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, planting flowers, cooking, baking and watching the birds in the bird feeder. She wanted her family to remember her for her good sense of humour and the many family meals she made. Above all else, she loved the Lord.

She is survived by sons Larry (Faye), Sedley (Carol), George (Rhoda), Russell; daughters Zilpha, Bonnie (Terry) MacDonald, Mary Ann Rutherford; 15 grandchildren; step-grandchild; 19 great-grandchildren; sister Meleta Wallace;

She was predeceased by her first husband Earl MacKenzie; second husband John Matheson; brothers Aulden, Murray, Wilfred; granddaughter-in-law Kimberly (Trites) MacKenzie.
