C. Ainslie White – 74, Truro, passed away peacefully, with loving family at his side, on Wednesday morning, January 24, 2018, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Charles and Bertha (Ripley) White.

Ainslie was a "jack-of-all-trades" and worked at farming, oil fields, logger and trucker and he enjoyed fishing, doing crossword puzzles and playing cards.

Ainslie is survived by his loving companion, Eleanor "Ellie" Folland; children, Nelson White (Nikki Fontaine), Vernon, British Columbia; Patricia (Brian) Campbell, Creston, Alberta; grandchildren, Kesha Fontaine, Ross Campbell; great granddaughter, Sapphire; sisters, Carol (Gary) Karlowski, Payson, Arizona; Frances White, Glenholme; brother, Everett (Della) White, Valley; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Esther Fox, Stella White; brother, Rayburn.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Ainslie’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Spring interment in Watson Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Ainslie’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
