Dollmont, Debbie Ann Marie, 56, of Truro, passed away
Thursday, April 19, 2018 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre,
Truro, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 17, 1961, in
Placentia Bay, Fox Harbour, NF, she was a daughter of the late Leo and
Sara (Duke) Traverse. Debbie and her long time husband John moved to
Nova Scotia in the early eighties where they settled and raised their
only child Travis. Debbie enjoyed a good game of bingo at the Legion
and also loved to go four wheeling with her husband and friends. She
also loved to sing which she was very good at it. Debbie worked at
Kramers Bar & Grill in the nineties and then went on to become
a CCA and later going to work at the Mira Long Term Care Centre,
Truro. She took great pride in her job there and was happy to help the
seniors and also had a lot of compassion for them.
She is survived by her husband John Dollmont; son, Travis
(Ashley); brothers, Bill (Dianne), Cliff (Shelly), Gary (Jennifer),
Randy (Tina); sisters Maggie Traverse, Juanita Weir (Peter), Mary
McNutt (Johnny Richards).
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Wayne
Traverse; sister-in-law Barbara (Elliott) Traverse.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro where visitation will be
Wednesday from 6-9 pm and where funeral service will be Thursday,
April 26th at 11 am. Father Dariusz Miskowicz
will officiate with burial in Watson Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers
only. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer
