DONALD TYRRELL "Terry" BURNS - 77 of St. George's
Channel, Cape Breton, died August 10, 2018, at home. Terry was born in
Bridgewater the son of the late Donald Wolsley and Barbara Jean
(Whynacht) Burns. He is survived by his wife and partner of 52 years,
Rosemary Elizabeth (Stevens); daughter, Christine Elizabeth Burns,
Truro; granddaughter, Alexandria Elizabeth Field, Lantz; sister,
Marilyn Elizabeth Burns (Ron Murphy), Dartmouth; nieces, Wendy
Williston (Gary Patterson), Dartmouth; Belinda "Linda"
Rouillard (Sylvain Rouillard), Halifax and numerous great nieces and
nephews. Terry was an accomplished golfer, a seasoned sailor and
enjoyed the hunting camp with the camp crew. He served for three years
in The Royal Canadian Navy before becoming a C.P.G.A. Golf

At Terry's request no visitation or funeral.
"Remember me as you last saw me", helping a
neighbour, swinging a golf club, boiling a big pot of lobsters or
crabs, grilling up steaks at a fund raiser, plowing snow, manning the
power saw, or face into the wind at the helm of a yacht. If
so desired, donations may be made in Terry's memory to Heart and
Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall - Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
