Peppard, Hazel Alparaneth; 99, of Debert, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018, at Debert Court, Debert. Born in Debert she was a daughter of the late Fred and Gladys (Stevens) Wood. Hazel was a co-owner and operator of Peppard's General Store in Debert for many years. She was a member of the Debert United Church. She is survived by daughter, Lynne Cameron, Truro; grandson, Wade (Kim), North Brookfield Mass; sister, Alfrieda McElman, Riverview NB; sister-in-law, Roberta Wood, London ON; great-grandchildren, Paige and twins Evan and Mason; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Perley Foster Peppard and her second husband, George Peppard; son, Dale Peppard; son-in-law, Jim Cameron; brother, Lewis Wood; brother-in-law, Mike McElman. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, November 13 in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, Rev. Carolyn Rushton officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home.  Interment then will be held in the Plains Road Cemetery in Debert. Family flowers only.
