Marie Bernadette (Varner) Bryan – 76,
Salmon River, passed away peacefully, to be with her Lord, on
Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre,
Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Everett Matthew
"Red" and Miriam Evelyn (Langille) Varner. She was a
life-member of The Salvation Army.
Marie is survived by her husband, Harry F. Bryan; sons, John
(Denise) Smith, Robert Smith (Patty Stewart), Gordon (Susie) Smith;
grandchildren, Jason, Tyler, Matt, Ben (Cassie), Rachel, Alexa, Olivia
(Brandon); great granddaughter, Lucia; step-daughter, Heather House
(Lew); step-granddaughter, Trisha; niece and nephew, Jamie and
Christina Webb; nieces and caregivers, Donna and Amy; sisters,
Jeanette Webb and Juanita McCabe. Along with her parents, she was
predeceased by her siblings, Evelyn, Ed, June, Barb,
Edna.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall - Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Marie's family will
receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Funeral
service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2019, at The
Salvation Army, 14 Outram St., Truro, Major Bruce Jennings and Major
Mildred Jennings officiating. If so desired, donations in
Marie’s memory to The Salvation Army (Truro Corps) are
