Jean
Clissold – 89, Truro,
passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Colchester
East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Evesham, England, she was the
daughter of the late John and Daisy (Andrews) Moore.
Jean was a war bride and arrived at Pier 21 aboard the
Aquitania in 1945 and then took the train to Kingston, Ontario, to be
reunited with Bert. They moved back to England and immigrated to
Canada in 1994. She was an active member of John Calvin Christian
Reformed Church and absolutely loved gardening and was a member of
Bible Hill Garden Club.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Bert;
daughter, Donna Blount (Don DeCoste), Greenfield; grandchildren, Josh
Blount (Taylor Mattie), Jodie Blount (Evan Thomas), Hayley Oldford
(Lucas Brimicombe), Nicole DeCoste (Tyler Thompson), Brandon (Rebecca)
DeCoste; great grandchildren, Grayson and Braydee Thomas and Skylar
and Leeland DeCoste; sisters-in-law, Gwen Meyer, Truro; Pat (John)
Wilson, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she
was predeceased by her brothers, Jack Moore, Donald (Mary)
Moore.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, January 19,
2019, at John Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 169 Glenwood Drive,
Truro, Pastor Andrea Bass officiating. Reception will follow. Family
flowers only. If so desired, donations in Jean’s memory to
Diabetes Canada are welcomed.
