Robert Curtis "Bob" Barrett – 81, Bible Hill, formerly of Murray Siding. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Curtis "Bob" Barrett on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Jack and Frances (Wambolt) Barrett.

Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked for many years with his family at Barrett Plumbing and Heating and before retiring he spent 10 years as a real estate agent. In his early years he was a skilled athlete in numerous sports and as a member of the 1956 Saint Mary’s Maritime Junior Football champion team, was inducted into the Saint Mary’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. Sports continued to be a big part of his life as he spent many years coaching and cheering on his children and grandchildren and supporting local teams.

As a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Bob contributed to the lives of many through his involvement with Marriage Encounter, religious education and various church committees. He was also well known as a "carver" and created beautiful pieces of art; he shared his talent and passion by teaching this craft to others. Bob spent many wonderful summers at Seafoam and Sunset Watch Campgrounds and loved nothing more than being surrounded by his family and friends enjoying a barbeque and a campfire. He also had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed many adventures as he and Roby toured the province and beyond.
