Marjorie Minnie McCabe – 88, Truro, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, October 20, 2019, at Maplewood Manor, Tatamagouche. Born in Centreville, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Whalen and the late Rosie (Kynock) (Whalen) Walton and step-daughter of the late Ernest Walton.

Marjorie was a member of Brunswick Street United Church. A quiet woman who kept to herself, she loved her family dearly and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Garth (Beverley) and Glenn (Alana), all of Valley; grandchildren, Jennifer McCabe (Kenroy O’Neil), Allison Johnson (Brian), David McCabe (Danielle Morrow), Brandon McCabe; great grandchildren, Molly and Emma Johnson, Mateo O’Neil and Pyper McCabe. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lorne; siblings, Maxine Richardson, Lois Spencer, Leonard Whalen.

Private family interment will be held in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Alma, Pictou County. If so desired, donations in Marjorie’s memory to Arthritis Society are welcomed.
