June
Marguerite (Keyes) Murray – 90, Truro, passed away
peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born
in Lantz, she was the daughter of the late John Francis
"Frank" and Margaret (Isenor) Keyes, and was raised on the
family farm.
June was an
active member of St. James Presbyterian Church for many years where
she was a member of the St. James Evening/Morning Auxiliary and
enjoyed the fellowship of this group. June lived on Churchill Street
with her husband, Ken, for over 50 years, and savoured the close-knit
neighbourhood there. She enjoyed playing cards and for many years Ken
and June were very active with Cobequid Twirlers Square Dance Club and
took many trips around the Maritimes with their square dancing
friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with
her parents, June was predeceased by her loving husband, Ken. She is survived by her sister,
Velma; sons, Paul (Jane), John (Susan); grandchildren, Christopher,
Jeffrey, Melissa and Peter.
June’s family extends its sincere gratitude
to the staff at Wynn Park Villa for their loving care and compassion.
Arrangements
have been entrusted to Mattatall - Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young
Street, Truro, where a private celebration of her life will be held
on Saturday, June 20, 2020, Reverend Norman Pearce
officiating. Webcasting of the funeral service will be open
to all and may be viewed from this site at 1:55 p.m., Saturday, June
20, 2020; this link will remain active for some time after the

Drive, Bible Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in June’s
