Clayton George Benjamin – 79, Truro, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Greenfield, Kings County, he was a son of the late William Burton Benjamin and Margaret (Brown) (Benjamin) Whiston.

Clayton worked on the railroad with Dominion Atlantic Railroad and Canadian Pacific Railroad. He was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church where he served as custodian for five years. He was an avid bowler, hunter and fisherman and he and Myrna loved to travel in their RV to Bluegrass Festivals and camp. He will be missed by his cat, Bo-Bo.

Clayton is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Myrna (Bartlett); his daughters, Kelly Carty (Raymond Curran), Karen (Chris) VanKippersluis; his sons, Blair (Wendy), Bruce (Judy), Wayne, Donnie; stepsons, Michael (Delta) Clark, David Clark; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Nellie Arnburg; brother, Albert (Elizabeth). Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Wade Burton Benjamin; great grandson, Jacob; brothers, Charles, Kenneth.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where a private family service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, Reverend Andrew Campbell officiating.
