Trueman, Donald Edward "Don", 87, Truro, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Sackville, NB, he was the son of the late Stephen and Vessa (Cadman) Trueman. Don worked for The New Brunswick Telephone Company for 40 plus years assuming numerous positions within the Province. Don’s last 25 years were spent at the NBTel Head Office in Saint John. Don retired from NB Tel. In retirement Don enjoyed travel and his sometimes twice daily "speed" walks.  As an avid lover of music and performing he was able to continue this passion with his fellow residents of Munroe Court. Keep singing Don, the Angels now have some serious competition!

Don is survived by daughters, Vicki Trueman, Collingwood, ON, Karen (Greg) Wilkins, Bible Hill, Catherine (Jack) Thompson, Louisiana; son, John Trueman, Lethbridge, Alberta; grandchildren, Erin, Erica, Taylor, Mariah, Katrina, Dylan and Matthew; five great grandchildren; sisters, Audrey Hammerli, Ottawa, Anne Murray (Ron), Woodstock, NB, Elizabeth Stockwell (Jim), Ottawa; brothers, Jack (Eleanor), Moncton, Doug (Betty), Moncton.        

Besides his parents, Don was predeceased by his wife Carole (Butland) Trueman.

No visitation or funeral service by Don’s request. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
