Wilson: Laurie Wilfred, 61, of Queen Street, Truro, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at home. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Maynard and Myrtle (Lattie) Wilson. He was a former employee of Wilson’s Truck Body Shop for several years and later was a volunteer at the Colchester Community Food Bank, Truro. He is survived by his former wife the former Margie McCarthy; son, Devin, Truro; brother, Bruce, Truro; sisters, Brenda Taylor, Ontario; Bonita Rose, Truro; Tracey Wilson, Pleasant Valley. He was predeceased by sister, Denise Williams. Visitation will be held 7-9pm today, December 19, and funeral service 2pm Saturday, December 20, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, with Rev. Lori Ramsey officiating. Spring interment to be held in the Onslow Island Cemetery, Onslow. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Colchester Community Food Bank or to a charity of your choice.
