Francis Joseph "Frank" Craig - Truro, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Edna and Leonard Craig. Frank was a truck driver for many years and later worked for the Department of Highways. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Beverley (Slaunwhite) of Truro; proud father of five children, Lynn, Dartmouth; James (Darlene), Fall River; Micheal (Cheryl), Beaver Bank; Kathy, Whitehorse; and Gregory (Pamala), Hammonds Plains. His grandchildren, Stephani, Katie, Ashley, Courtney, Morgan, Matthew, Nathan and Kyron gave him great joy and pride. Frank’s surviving siblings, Robert (Peggy) Craig, Halifax; Dorthy Wilcox, Dartmouth; Patsy McAskill, Dartmouth; Leona (David) Baker, Lower Sackville; Debra (Jack) Geauthier Quebec and sister, Sandra (Bill) O’Neil, Lower Sackville. He was predeceased by his brother, Leonard; sister, Beverly-Ann. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A service will follow at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, corner of Sackville Drive and Beaver Bank Road, Lower Sackville, on Wednesday at 11 a.m., May 23, 2012, with Father Jamie Utronkie officiating. Reception will follow in the church basement. The family would like to give thanks and gratitude to Dr. Gasgow for his guidance and care over the years. To the nursing staff who not only gave wonderful care to Frank but for their thoughtful concern for his family and friends.
