Diane Katherine Robinson – 65, Truro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday morning, May 19, 2012, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born August 9, 1946, in Montreal, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Connal and Adele (McKeown) Davidson.

Diane was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Truro, and an Associate Member of Congregation of Notre Dame. She was an avid painter and a member of Attic Painters. She loved tennis and was a member of Truro Tennis Club where she served as secretary and was made an Honourary Member. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed traveling, including Trinidad, Jamaica and Hawaii. Diane achieved a Bachelor of Food Science from MacDonald College, Montreal. She was a math instructor at Nova Scotia Agricultural College for 30 years and along with her good friend, Peg Madigan, co-owned "Bag Ladies Enterprises" for 15 years until 2010. Never afraid of any job – carpentry, photography, etc., Diane put her all into anything she set forth to do. No job was too big or too small for this "Jill-Of-All-Trades"! She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Diane is survived by her children, Ryan Robinson, Reid (Odessa) Robinson, Calgary, Alberta; Kelley (Andy) Mitton, Beaverdam, New Brunswick; Kent Robinson, Truro; grandchildren, Adele Mitton, Gabriel Mitton, Caesar Robinson; brothers, Kenneth (Laura) Robinson, Oakville, Ontario; Donald (Mary) Robinson, Niagara Falls, Ontario; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Carl and Peg Madigan, Truro; several other close friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff at Colchester Regional Hospital, VG Site, QEII and to the Thoracic Team; your love, care and support were amazing.
