William Neil Hamilton

Hamilton, William Neil, "Neil"- 76, of Pembrook Road, Upper Stewiacke, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in the QE II Health Science Centre, Halifax Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Brookfield, he was a son of the late Carl and Pearl (Fleck) Hamilton. Neil was a survivor of the Springhill Mining Disaster in Springhill. He later retired after working with the Colchester Regional School Board.

He is survived by his companion Myrtle Wynn of Truro; daughter Juanita Hamilton of Middle Stewiacke; grandchildren Jeff, Allisha, Shelina, Trista; great-grandchildren Destiny, Jake, Amber, Jessica.

He was predeceased by a brother, Glennie; sisters Norma and Myrna.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 8^th from 7-9 pm and funeral service Sunday, December 9^th at 3pm all in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Brookfield Eastside Cemetery, Brookfield. Donations in Neil’s memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Kidney Foundation or to a charity of choice.
