Morrisey, Robert Kenneth, 81, Truro. With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He passed away peacefully at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, with his loving family by his side on Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was the youngest of sixteen children of the late John and Loretta (Martell) Morrisey of Brentwood, NS. He was a painter most of his life working many years in Halifax and then for Gary Pye Real Estate until he retired. Bob and Delma spent many happy summers at the "Old House" in Minasville, Hants County.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Delma (Patton); his loving children Wade (Brenda), their children Meghan and Andrew, Trent (Shelley), their children Matthew, Patrick and Benjamin; Stephen (Lisa), Lynn (Brian) Leger and their children Samantha (Kevin), Jason (Linden), Craig (Jenna) and Sarah (Travis), John (Brenda) and their children Brody and Chloe and Shannon (Lloyd) Hartling and their son Michael; 6 great-grandchildren, Jaya, Savannah, Jazlyn, Micah, Makala, Trinity; also survived by his remaining sisters Rose Carter, Delia Johnson and Elva Archibald all of Truro; his brother Gerald (Mida) of Oromocto, NB; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Sonny Patton.

He was predeceased by his brothers William, Charlie, Hugh, John, Lloyd; sisters Irene, Mary, Florence, Bessie; brother and sister in infancy; his in-laws Edison and Francis Patton.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by Robert’s request. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A celebration of his life and burial in Brookfield Westside Cemetery, Brookfield, NS, will take place at a later date.
