Smith, Dennis Brian, 64, Truro, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 5, 2014 at home with his family by his side. Born in Brighton, England, he was a son of the late Alfred and Muriel (Foster) Smith. Dennis was an electrician having worked for Sorensen’s Electrical, Truro for 20 years. Dennis loved life and especially his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dianna Robichaud Smith; sons Lloyd (Rachel) of Truro, Samuel (Melissa) of Moncton, NB; brother Kenneth Smith (Maureen) of Toronto, ON; sister Muriel Harriman of Green Bank, ON; grandchildren Angel, Roary, Abby, Aurora, Alex. Also loved by Dennis is his nieces Allison, Julie and his nephews Michael, Jamie, Dennie.
No funeral service by family request. A Celebration of Dennis’s Life will take place on Wednesday, July 9th from 7 – 9 in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Burial will take place at a later date in Pinegrove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Fund.
