Tedford, William Donald "Don", 97, Truro, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Donald and Annie (Searle) Tedford. Don was a member of the United Commercial Traveler’s and was a Wholesale Grocery Manager. He was a member of The Parish of St. John’s, Truro. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by a daughter Marilyn MacWha (Allister); daughter-in-law Irene Tedford; grandson Dayn Tedford (Melanie); granddaughters Janet Taylor (Robin), Judi Warwick (Dwayne), Lori Mackenzie (Rick), Heidi Rix (Steve), Dawn Tedford (John); great-grandchildren Kasey Tedford, Samantha Tedford, Kasson Tedford, Jonathan Tattrie, Josh Taylor, Stephanie DeWit, Jonathan DeWit; sister-in-law Doris Tedford; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Myra Alice (Richards); son Robert "Bob" Tedford; brothers Kenneth, Leroy, Clair, Jack, Eric.
No visitation by family request. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where funeral service will take place on Friday, July 18th at 3:00 pm. The Reverend Gary Yetman will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will follow the reception in Terrace Hill Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only.
