Cavanaugh, Leonard Lloyd, 76, Bible Hill,
passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2014 at home. Born in North
River, he was a son of the late Harry and Lottie (McNutt) Cavanaugh.
Leonard is survived by his wife, the former Claudia Langille; sons,
Leon, Timmy, Randy and Dana; grandchildren, Venessa, Nichole, Brandyn,
Ashley, Cole, Madison, Mirandya and Samny; great grandchildren, Isaiah
and Lexie; brothers, Dean, Delmar, Layton; sisters, Florence, Marilyn,
Dora. He was predeceased by sisters, Hazel, Gail and brother Larry.
Leonard worked at Langille Auto Salvage and Stanfield’s, and
he also enjoyed working in his own barber shop in North River. Leonard
was always happy to watch all of his four sons boxing matches over the
years, and looked forward to visits from his brother Delmar
remembering the good times. Leonard will be truly missed by all his
family and friends. Leonard’s family would like to extend
their sincere thanks and gratitude to the VON and all the Health Care
Teams where he was looked after through his illness. Visitation will
be held 6 – 8 pm Thursday, July 24, and funeral service 2 pm
Friday, July 25, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young
Street Truro, Rev. Steve McEvoy officiating. A reception will follow
the service. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity
