Louise Frances
Tattrie – 101, Bible
Hill, formerly of Marshville, Pictou County, passed away Wednesday
evening, July 30, 2014, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born January 12, 1913, in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late
Allison and Ella Mae (Chambers) Mingo.
In her earlier years, she enjoyed music, dancing, traveling,
rug hooking and attending social functions. She was a member of St.
David’s United Church, Bible Hill, and a former member of
Good Neighbours Senior Citizen’s Club.
Louise is survived by her son, David, Bible Hill; sister,
Kaye (Gerald) MacKinnon, Florida; brother, Ernest Mingo, Trenton, Nova
Scotia. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Harry Tattrie (1907-1982); daughter, Audrey Tattrie, (1940-2007); son,
Mervyn Tattrie (1942-1961); sisters, Marion Holt, Grace MacDonald;
brothers, Carl Mingo, Harold Mingo, Dudley Mingo.
Thanks are extended to the VON and Home Support Workers for
the excellent care provided to Louise over the past several years and
to Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Truro, for the loan of medical
equipment. Special thanks to LPNs, Alana Davidson and Vicky
Pye.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Louise’s family
will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2014, and where
the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2014.
Reception will follow. Interment in Lockerby Cemetery, Tatamagouche.

David’s United Church, Lockerby Cemetery or a charity of
