Arnold Eric Roode – 73, Onslow Mountain, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, August 9, 2014, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born May 26, 1941, in Truro, he was a son of the late Donald and Alice (Graham) Roode.

Arnold worked for Brookfield Creamery as a delivery driver. He loved country music and watching television, especially Canadian Pickers and Judge Judy.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Eileen (Lynds); children, Michael Roode, Gary Roode, Onslow Mountain; Karen Roode, Fredericton, New Brunswick; Paul Roode, Victoria, British Columbia; grandchildren, Leanna Roode, Harmony and Jessica Keevil; sisters, Carolyn (Frank) MacNeil, Donna (Sterling) Shearer, Belmont; brother, Jack Roode, Belmont; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Doreen (Jesse) Mooring; sister-in-law, Joyce Roode.

Honouring Arnold’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations in Arnold’s memory to Salvation Army are welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
