Shirley Elizabeth "Betty" Robinson – 82, Bible Hill, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born August 17, 1932, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Murray and Dorothy (MacKenzie) MacNaughton.

Betty worked at France Compressor Products Ltd. in Ontario, and attended St. David’s United Church, Bible Hill. She loved spending time with, and spoiling, her dog, Lewie.

Betty is survived by her son, Phillip Fletcher, Bible Hill; brothers, Thomas (Shirley) MacNaughton, Truro; Harold MacNaughton, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario; many nieces, nephews and cousins; close friend, Ross Davidson, Onslow. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her common-law spouse, Graham Fraser; sisters, Katherine in infancy, Audrey (Gordon) McNutt; sister-in-law, Joan MacNaughton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Betty’s family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, and where the funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014, Reverend Donna Lawrence officiating. Reception will follow. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery, Warren Drive, Bible Hill. If so desired, donations in Betty’s memory to St. David’s United Church or Bible Hill Cemetery are welcomed.
