Marilee Phyllis Crowell – 57, East
Mountain. (As written by Marilee.)
I, Marilee P. Crowell, 57, of East Mountain, left this
lifetime on Wednesday morning, October 29, 2014, after a tenacious
battle with cancer, surrounded by my loving family and friends. Born
in Truro, I was a daughter of Arline (MacNutt) Crowell, Bible Hill,
and the late Merton Crowell. I enjoyed spending time with family and
friends, but my greatest passion in life was being a mother to my son,
Nick.
I am survived by my son, Nicholas Merton (Natasha Hill);
sister, Joanne Cooke; brothers, Bob (Sonja), Richie (Susan), Steven
(Karen), Randy (Joanne), Mark (Wendy Robinson); nieces, Danica (Ryan)
Ellis, Heidi Cooke (Tyler Medaglia), Amy Crowell (Greg Priddle), Erin
(Jason) Blois, Megan Crowell, Jenna Crowell; nephews, Derek (Tasha)
Crowell, Shane Crowell (Cavell Burley), Marty Crowell (Georgia
Richards), Mitchell Cooke (Kim Smith), Brendan Crowell, Michael
Crowell, Travis Crowell (Kate Ryan), Benjamin Crowell; great nieces
and nephews, Scarlet, Sam, Winnie, Ollie, Talon, Millie, Ivy, Xavier,
Addison.
My family and friends were always most important to me. I
always enjoyed sending a card to someone to brighten their day. I was
blessed to have so many good friends in my life. Friends such as
Natalie Cooper, Fran Toole, Diane MacGillivary and Arden Cream, to
name only a few. I have cherished their love and support over these
past years. Special thanks to Bob and Sonja for always being there
when I needed them. Also, special thanks to Earle and Heloise Morgan
for all their kindness. Special thanks to Dr. Ryve Loshaj, Dr. Manoj
Vohra and the VON nurses for their care and compassion. Words cannot
express enough the deep compassion of Dr. Dave Henderson and Lisa
Weatherbee of Palliative Care. I don’t know how I could have
gotten through the last few weeks without them.
