Donald Colburn "BeBe"
Sangster – 63, Lower Sackville, passed away
peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday morning,
November 27, 2014, at VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born March 5, 1951, in
Halifax, he was a son of the late Donald and Bertha (Zwicker)
Sangster.
Donald worked for Maritime Paper for 38 years and enjoyed
watching all kinds of sports. An avid NASCAR fan, he traveled to the
races in New Hampshire a few times and enjoyed watching and cheering
on his favourite driver, Kevin Harvick.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Cathy;
sons, Dwayne Sangster, Jason (Leanne) Sangster, Lower Sackville;
Matthew (Mary) Sangster, Beechville; grandchildren, Jordan, Dawson,
Cayden, Logan and granddaughter on the way, sister, Adele (Chris)
Thorton, Dartmouth; brothers, Derald (Rose) Sangster, Calgary; Kenny
(Danielle) Sangster, British Columbia; Christopher Sangster, Lower
Sackville. The family would like to say a special thank you to the VON
and Palliative Care for the home support they provided.
Donald’s family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.,
Sunday, November 30, 2014, in Knox United Church, 567 Sackville Drive,
Lower Sackville, where the funeral service will be held 1 p.m.,
Monday, December 1, 2014, Reverend Dr. Ross Bartlett officiating.
Reception will follow in the church hall. Family flowers only. If so
desired, donations in Donald’s memory to Victorian Order of
Nurses or Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII, are welcomed.
