Richards, Patrick Hugh, 90, Bible Hill, passed away
peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2014, surrounded by his loving
family. Born in Charlos Cove, Guysborough County, he was a son of the
late Walter and Gertrude (Snyder) Richard. He was employed with
Stanfield’s Ltd. for 36 years and also worked at the Truro
Raceway for 20 years. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception
Church Truro and past member of the Bible Hill Fire Department. After
retiring he did wood working which he loved. He is survived by
daughter, Charlene (Todd) Tattrie, Onslow Mountain; grandson Adam
Tattrie, Onslow Mountain, who he loved dearly and known to Adam as
Grampie Pat; brothers, Stephen (Madalene), Donald (and friend
Shirley), sister, Laura (and friend Murray), all of Truro; several
nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife the former Clarissa
"Chris" (Hunt) Richards; brother, Billy Richard; sisters,
Clara Dorian, Lockena Rath, Maude Henderson, Pauline MacKenzie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Patricks's family will
receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2014, followed
by the prayer service at 2 p.m., Father Dariusz
Miskowicz officiating. Interment to be held at a later date in the
Bible Hill Cemetery, Warren Drive, Bible Hill. By Pat’s
wishes no flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to
the Bible Hill Cemetery or to a charity of your choice.
