MacKinnon, Bonita Carolyn, Middleton, NS. It is with great sadness the family announce the sudden death at home of Bonita Carolyn MacKinnon on November 28 2014 at the age of 71. Bonnie was the daughter of the late Roderick & Mildred (Cox) MacKinnon. Bonnie was born in Truro, lived and attended school in Salmon River. Following school Bonnie was employed at Stanfields Ltd. for a few years then moved to Toronto where she worked for 20 years at CIBC in Toronto and London Ontario.  She also worked evenings at Canada Post which allowed her the opportunity to do a lot of travelling with great friends. Bonnie was a quiet, generous & compassionate person and as anyone who had the pleasure to know her knew she loved all animals in particular cats, never turning a stray away. She moved back home to Truro & then onto Granville Ferry where she gave excellent loving care for 20 years to Seniors in her home.

She is survived by sister Elizabeth (Owen), Niece Heather (Jeff) Great nieces Amber McNutt & Tara Moxsom (Jeff) and their families.

She was pre-deceased by her nephew Roderick Langille.

No visitation by family request. A graveside service will take place in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Donations in memory may please go to CAPS OR SPCA in her memory. The family would like to thank Ardith Gilliatt, Bonnie's friend since early childhood for all the devotion & support as well as many a trip to Doctors and Halifax appointments over the past difficult year.
